Sorry I have to write in English, but it would not be understandable if I tried to write in German. The text about Simon Swerting is pure nonsens, concerning Simon Swertings family relations. The family is investigated in "Invånarna i medeltidens Visby", by me (Dick Wase) and Jacob Pleskow was not an uncle. Simon Swertings mother was Helwig Zobber (in his fathers, Hermans, second marriage, the first was with a daughter of Everhard Volmesten in Visby and resulted in the son Detmar, who probably was executed with his father 1342). Helwig was a daughter to the citizen of Visby, Jordan Zobber and was first married to Albert van Flanderen (two kids, the later Bürgermeister in Visby, Henrik van Flanderen and the vickar of first S:t Mary in Visby, and later in S:t Mary Lübeck, Ludolf van Flanderen). Helwigs mother, Gherborg, daughter of the gotlandic member af the "rat" Jacob Swerdsliper, was later married to Henrik Wise in Visby, and mother to Grete Wise, married to the visbyer member of the "rat", Johannes Pleskow, and mother to Jacob Pleskow.
