Begrüßung auf Benutzer:HappyCamper

Hi,

Ich habe dir mal einen Begrüßungstext auf Deutsch aufgeschrieben. Auf Englisch heißt das ungefähr:

I'm HappyCamper. I started learning german in may 2005 so I am not (yet) perfect in speaking and understanding it, but i like the language very much. I thought I could improve my german knowledge by contributing to german Wikipedia, so I try now to contribute here without writing anything in English. It isn't forbidden to correct my german expressions; actually, it would be nice if you helped me in doing this! ;-)

Is this ok? I hope so;-) I also corrected "I'm sysop on en.wikipedia": "Wikipedia" is female, so you are "ein Admin aus der englischen Wikipedia"... *argh* I think I should write in german...;) Hier spricht fast jeder Wikipedianer Englisch, falls du einmal Probleme haben solltest, jemanden zu verstehen, frag einfach mich oder einen anderen Wikipedianer... Auf Kategorie:User en findest du alle englischsprechenden Benutzer, das sollte genug sein;-) Tomorrow I'll try to give you a simple introduction to german WP (with an translation in English for comparing both;))... --rdb? 01:49, 2. Ok, meine Antwort hat jetzt doch ein wenig länger gedauert... Elya hat dir die wichtigsten Links schon gegeben, ich habe nur noch einen:

Wikipedia:Auskunft - wenn du mal irgendwas wissen willst, was überhaupt nicht mit Wikipedia zu tun hat (wie in en:Wikipedia:Reference desk).

Ich hoffe, du kommst soweit zurecht. Eigentlich dürfte es keinen großen Unterschied zur englischen Wikipedia geben besides the deletion rules (a bit stricter than in en, i think, but the minimum quality standard for an article for not to be deleted is also higher than in en) and the copyright rules (in de, there is _no_ Fair Use and no Copyright in any way... Only GFDL, CC-By-Sa and public domain...).

p.s.: One thing I really like in the german language is the possibility of composing several words together to one new word... See Rindfleischetikettierungsüberwachungsaufgabenübertragungsgesetz;-)

Wir benutzen hier hauptsächlich "du"; "Sie" verwenden wir in der Wikipedia nur ganz selten...

On de:, stuff like Barnstars and whatever there is on en: is not used that often... I fact, there are some "Thanks", but they are really hard to find;-) But nobody will complain if anybody sets such things on Talk Pages...

Wikipedia als Platz für praktische Sprachübungen? Kirschtomaten

"Es ist nicht verboten, mein Deutsch zu korrigieren, im Gegenteil, ich bitte sogar darum! ;-)" - Kirschtomaten - "Der Kirschtomaten ist ein klein Tomaten. Er ist ein typische Tomaten, und ist sehr gut am Salat. Er ist Lycopersicon esculentum cerasiforme. Er hat vierundzwanzig Chromosomen." - Nicht nur sprachlich völlig verkehrt, sondern auch ein Stub, trivial, POV und unkategorisiert. Wer angeblich ein Admin (in der en:Wikipedia) ist, sollte solche Einträge schnelllöschen und nicht erzeugen. Viel Spaß noch! Gesperrter Benutzer 09:27, 14. Okt 2005 (CEST)

Es gibt gewisse Gründe, warum ich in der en:Wikipedia oder der jp:Wikipedia nur die Interwikis setze: Weil ich Englisch schwach und Japanisch gar nicht spreche. Es gibt Gründe, warum ich nie einen Biologieartikel angelegt habe: Weil ich kein Biologe bin und auch sonst vom Themenbereich kaum etwas verstehe. Einige Handlungen sollte man einfach lassen. 1. Gesperrter Benutzer - Not only is the prose wrong, but it's also a stub, trivial, POV and uncategorized. An admin from en:Wikipedia would not make these stubs and would be speedying them instead. Still funny though!
2. 195.93.60.146 - I helped the colleague a little. But still, a little more should have been there already. Otherwise (gibts a LA)! (What does Sonst gibts einen LA mean?) (Answer: Otherwise a VfD will come! TomTomTomato 20:01, 15. Okt 2005 (CEST))

3. Gesperrter Benutzer - There are reasons why I only make interwikilinks on en: and jp: - I don't speak English, and very little Japanese. There are reasons why I never write a biology article - because I am no biologist and not familiar with that area. One should keep some things simple.
4. 195.93.60.146 - Now isn't the time to be so impatient. Ther are biologists and botanists here too. Probably they're still asleep. After all, Rome was also only built after breakfast!
5. Gesperrter Benutzer - There are portals where he could ask our biologists and botanists about the tomatoes, also on Wikipedia:Auskunft, and likewise at Wikipedia:Artikelwünsche. I Assume Good Faith and hope, that was the last of those types of edits. (Ich hoffe, das war das letzte Mal -- some more translation help needed here)

Most translation students do start out doing second to first language before the other way around. It is easier that way and I commend your bravery at diving into the difficult translation first (so far I've only done de -> en here). I tend to work on translations on my subpages for quite a long time because of my tendency to let them sit half-finished or in a state of horrible English style (en:History of Frankfurt am Main still suffers some from both issues). Anharmonischer Oszillator

Hello HappyCamper, one think I don't quite understand: When is a Hamiltonian like H_1 useful? I mean, isn't that just another simple harmonic oscillator with k'+k instead of k? And one more thing: Do you know of any special systems where an anharmonic oscillator approach makes sense? People here always want to know what things are good for and don't like too many formulas... Anyway, I hope we can save the article from being deleted! Regards, --Tinz 01:01, 17. Unpleasant Experiences

Hello HappyCamper, the de.wikipedia has high expectations regarding the quality of new articles. It's quiete normal that new stubs get deleted. The comments of many users do not lack strong criticism. You may believe this way to handle the wiki not to be usefull. Neither do many germans. However, it's important to me to let you know, that your experiences are not reasoned by the fact that you are not a german user. Any german user writing stubs faces the same difficulties. The English wikipedia may have more articles but ours are better ;-). But seriously, we are thankful for every user who contributes his (relevant) knowledge to the project. You may be familiar with quality discussions in the English wikipedia, here you might come across people who demand at least a complete paragraph for a regular stub, sources and literature for every tiny bit of information you write, or they regard articles about persons as being useless if they don't include the exact date of birth - you might regard those guys as over-pedantic but otherwise such criticism may very well train your ability to formulate your article as precise as possible, so you shouldn't take it too personal. Just try your best, I am sure your German will improve with every edit you make; in case anyone should mock about allegedly poor language, remind him/her of Wikipedia:Wikiliebe - the majority of us will try to help you to do a good job here, though.--Proofreader 19:25, 17.
