Die American Anthropological Association (AAA) ist die weltweit größte fachwissenschaftliche Vereinigung für Anthropologie. Sie wurde 1902 gegründet, ist in 40 Sektionen gegliedert und gibt 22 Zeitschriften heraus.[1] Amtierender AAA-Präsident (2019/2021) ist Akhil Gupta (University of California, Los Angeles), gewählte Nachfolgerin ist Ramona Perez (San Diego State University).[2]
