Frank Hantke (*May 13, 1954, in Goslar) is a German Trade Unionist and Social Democrat (SPD). He was working since 1990 in and with the European Transformation Countries as a functionary of DGB (Deutscher Gewerkschaftsbund)[1] and associate of FES (Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung)[2][3].  He lives in Kosovo and is still working as an expert and advisor in the Western Balkan Countries.

Experiences

Frank Hantke started to enter the transformation area in 1990 as one of the first representatives of DGB in the former GDR. Later he worked as an expatriate for FES since 1998 in the European transformation countries (Baltic States, Visegrad States, Western Balkans, Romania, and Bulgaria) as a political trainer and advisor. Therefore he got a lot of experience, especially in the political, social and economic sectors. His partners were Governments, parliaments, politicians[11] as well as representatives of the whole Civil Society scenery[12] [13]and youth organisations.[14] He supported organizing youth-interest-organizations[15], developed and moderated structural education-modernization (as a former teacher for Vocational Training mainly in this special area)[16] as well as political training regarding all social and democratic topics.[17][18] Since he was a functionary of German Trade Unions[19] – also working with the European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC) – he has got a lot of experience with the modernization of unions in the upcoming democracies in SEE and CEE.[20][21]
