Die Diocese of Gibraltar in Europe (auch als Diocese in Europe bekannt) ist das Bistum der Church of England mit der größten Fläche und deckt etwa ein Sechstel der Landmasse der Erde ab, mit einer Reichweite von Morokko, Kontinentaleuropa, Island, die Türkei und das Gebiet der ehemaligen Sowjetunion. Es gehört zur Kirchenprovinz Canterbury. Sitz des Bistums ist Gibraltar (Cathedral of the Holy Trinity); Wohnsitz des Bischofs ist jedoch Bishop's Lodge in Worth (Crawley) in West Sussex, und das bischöfliche Ordinariat befindet sich in Tufton Street, London, als Teil des Church House Komplexes.
Der jetzige Bischof ist Douglas Geoffrey Rowell, der am 1. November 2001 in der Dreifaltigkeitskathedrale in Gibraltar inthronisiert wurde. Ihm zur Seite steht ein Weihbischof, derzeit David Hamid, der am 17. Oktober 2002 die Bischofsweihe empfing. Als Prokathedralen dienen St Paul's Cathedral in Valletta und Holy Trinity Cathedral, Brussels.
Das Bistum wurde 1842 gegründet;[1] zu jener Zeit war es für alle anglikanische Gemeinden von Portugal bis zum kaspischen Meer zuständig. 1980 wurde das Bistum mit der Aufsicht für Nord- und Mitteleuropa zusammengelegt und erhielt den Namen: Diocese of Gibraltar in Europe. Das Amt existiert daher in dieser Form erst seit dieser Zeit; vorher war für Nord- und Mitteleuropa der Weihbischof von Fulham im Bistum London zuständig.
Das Bistum ist in sieben Erzdekanate aufgeteilt.

The bishop also has one suffragan bishop, known as the Suffragan Bishop in Europe (currently the Right Reverend David Hamid) and various honorary assistant bishops from other churches in communion with the Church of England.

- Eastern Archdeaconry, consisting of: Albania, Armenia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Georgia, Greece, Hungary, Kosovo, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan. The current archdeacon is the Venerable Patrick Curran (2008), who is based in Vienna, Austria and has served since 2002. He is assisted by two area deans, one in Athens, Greece and one in Moscow, Russia.
- Archdeaconry of France (including Monaco). The current (2008) archdeacon is the Venerable Kenneth Letts, who is based in Nice and has served since 2007.
- Archdeaconry of Gibraltar, consisting of: Andorra, Gibraltar, Morocco, Portugal, and Spain. The current archdeacon is the Venerable David Sutch, who was appointed in 2008. He is based in Fuengirola, Spain.
- Archdeaconry of Germany and Northern Europe, consisting of: Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, and Sweden. The current archdeacon is the Venerable Johnathon Lloyd, who is based in Copenhagen and has served since 2010. He is assisted by two area deans.
- Archdeaconry of Italy and Malta. The current archdeacon is the Venerable Arthur Siddall (2008). He has served since 2005, but exercices his office from Montreux, Switzerland, with the help of an area dean based in Rome, Italy.
- Archdeaconry of Northwest Europe, consisting of: Belgium, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands. The current archdeacon is the Venerable John de Wit, who was appointed in 2008 and is based in Utrecht, Netherlands.
- Archdeaconry of Switzerland. The current archdeacon is the Venerable Peter Potter (2009). He is based in Bern.
