Dirk Vorberg (*5. July 1942 in Stettin) is a German mathematical and cognitive psychologist.

Dirk Vorberg studied Psychology at the Universities of Marburg and Hamburg and received his PhD in 1970 from Darmstadt University. From 1970 – 1983 he worked at the university of Konstanz, from 1975 as professor of experimental and mathematical psychology. He moved to Marburg as professor of experimental psychology in 1983, and to Braunschweig (1990 – 2007). Since 2008, he is holding a guest professorship at the University of Muenster. Dirk Vorberg was postdoctoral fellow at NYU (1972-73), and worked as guest scientist at the Bell Labs (1979-80), the Max-Planck Institute of Psycholinguistics, Nijmegen (1988-89), Potsdam University (1997), and Maastricht University (2000-01). Vorberg works on visual attention, subliminal visual perception, executive control, numerical cognition, and on mathematical modeling of cognitive processes and of rhythm perception and timing in music performance.
