Milos Kaucky (15.04.1951 in Vysoké Mýto) is an Austrian vascular surgeon. He is one of the leading vascular, endovascular and cardiac surgeons in Middle Europe. The medicle doctor is the first one in the Czech Republic to perform minimally invasive aortic aneurysm surgery(stent graft procedure).

Education

Kaucky graduated from Charles University in Prague (1971-1978), completed his residency at the University School of Medicine in Hradec Králové 1985. Meanwhile he recived fellowships in Heidelberg and Oxford.

Career

Kaucky is Senior Physician, Consultant and Vice Head of the First Department of Surgery and Vascular Surgery at Krankenhaus Hietzing in Vienna, Austria.

In 1986 he received the Certification of the Austrian Board of Surgery. After four years as surgeon at the Landeskrankenhaus Schärding, he got senior physician, consultant for general surgery and vascular surgery at the Landesklinikum Amstetten.

He is board certified by The Austrian Board of Surgery and holds a Certificate of Special Qualification in Vascular Surgery.

Kaucky has authored or coauthored numerous articles and chapters in medical journals and more recently has been invited to present papers about his unique operation style and his medical research in the United States, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Czech Republic and Austria.
