Ein Dauerflugrekord ist die längste Zeit, die ein Flugzeug einer bestimmten Kategorie im Flug ohne Landung verbracht hat. Der Dauerflug kann ein Alleinflug sein oder von mehreren Piloten, die sich abwechseln, durchgeführt werden. In den Anfangsjahren der Fliegerei begrenzte die Treibstoffmenge, die mitgeführt werden konnte, die Flugdauer; aber mit Einführung der Luftbetankung ist bei der hohen Zuverlässigkeit der Antriebe diese Grenzen aufgehoben. Aus Sicherheitsgründen erkennt die Fédération Aéronautique Internationale (FAI) für bemannte Motor- und Segelflugzeuge keine neuen Dauerflugrekorde mehr an; für Helikopter hat sie nie Dauerflugrekorde angenommen.
