Koloriang is a hilly district headquarters town of Kurung Kumey district in Arunachal Pradesh, India, bordering China. It has an altitude of Vorlage:Convert[1] and is surrounded by high mountains all around[2] and is located in the right bank of river Kurung, one of the major tributaries of Subansiri river. The climate is rainy and hot during summer and very cold in winter. The Bengia, Chera, Nangram, Chello, Riya, Yumlam clans of Nyishi community inhabits the area. People are known for their honesty, straightforwardness and their attachment to their age old customs and traditions. Longte is the annual festival of the area where people enjoy with festivity and pray different gods and goddesses for protection and well being of humanity, livestock and general prosperity. It is celebrated in the month of April every year. It can be reached by road from Itanagar, the capital of Arunachal Pradesh and Guwahati and other towns of Assam.
