Bihl+Wiedemann GmbH, with its headquarters in Mannheim, is a middle-sized company within automation technology. The company is specialized in the development and production of electric components for Fieldbus communication with AS-Interface (AS-i), which is world-wide standardised by IEC 62026-2 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AS-Interface. These components can be used for example in conveyor belts, high-rack warehouses, packing maschines or maschine tools. In 1995 Bihl+Wiedemann was first to receive a certification from AS-International for its AS-Interface Master. Since then, the company is considered leader within AS-Interface technology. Managing Directors are Jochen Bihl and Bernhard Wiedemann. Jochen Bihl is member of the Executive Board and Bernhard Wiedemann is member of the Technical Committee6 of the AS-International Association e.V..
