Kadri Muhiddin is born in Basrah in 1956. 2007 he founded together with Bernd Schramm and Mauro Grossi AMAC Aerospace and has been since 2010 Chief Executive Officer of the company based in Basel, Switzerland.
Life and Work
Education
Kadri Muhiddin grew up in Tripoli and attended there the Tripoli boys’ school. He went to Brunel Technical College in Bristol, where he studied Aircraft Maintenance Engineering, Avionics and is a Licensed Engineer. He studied at Kingston University in London, where he graduated in 2005 with a Bachelor’s degree in in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering.
Career
Kadri Muhiddin started work as a line maintenance and aircraft base maintenance engineer for Iraqi Airways 1977-1979 and thereafter with Kuwait Airways 1979-1990. After the Invasion of Kuwait in 1990, he and his family were in the UK where he incorporated Gamit Ltd, which offers spare parts, engineering consultation and technical data management and has been managed since 2015 by Nadeem Muhiddin, the youngest son. In 2004, Jet Aviation hired Kadri Muhiddin and he became Head of Europe, the Middle East and Asia. In 2005, Kadri Muhiddin founded his second company, Tailwind Airlines that is based in Turkey and offer Charter Flights, wet and dry lease aircraft for all major tourist companies, who require aircraft to supplement their demands.
Since 2010, Kadri Muhiddin is a Fellow member of the Royal Aeronautical Society in the UK. He is on the Board of Directors of Gamit LTD, Tailwind Airlines, Gamit Off Shore Lebanon, JCB France, AMAC Aerospace Turkey and AMAC Aerospace Switzerland.
AMAC Aerospace
In 2007, Kadri Muhiddin, Bernd Schramm, Mauro Grossi and Enomis Holding founded AMAC Aerospace in Basel, Switzerland. The company is now the largest privately-owned MRO & Completion centre in the world and offers maintenance work, charter services, aircraft management, complex modification, limited military work and provides completion services (customized completion and refurbishment requests). In 2017, AMAC Aerospace has successfully completed and returned to service its first BBJ Demonstrator project for Boeing, which was accomplished over a 12 months’ project downtime. The BBJ Demonstrator has been awarded by Design Et Al Awards and won its category ‘2018 Interior Design/VIP Completion’. The company is headquartered in Basel, with offices and hangars in Zurich (Zurich Airport), Istanbul (Atatürk Airport) and Bodrum (Milas Airport) in Turkey and another design and production facility in Auch, Southwest France. AMAC Aerospace employs over 1,200 people and is still growing.
Awards
Kadri Muhiddin, has been awarded the accolade of 'Best CEO in the Private Aviation Services Industry' by Business Worldwide Magazine in 2018 and ‘Best CEO of the Year – Switzerland’. 2015 he was awarded ‘Best CEO in the Aircraft Management Industry’[1].

Personal life
Kadri Muhiddin holds the private pilot license. He is married and father of three sons. He lives in Turkey.
