• (Softwareneuheit) URL-Shortener: Mit Hilfe eines Services auf Meta können Kurz-URLs aller Seiten erzeugt werden, die von der Wikimedia Foundation betrieben werden. Das Format der URL lautet w.wiki/, gefolgt von einer Buchstaben- und Zeichenfolge. Beispiel: w.wiki/3 leitet bereits jetzt weiter auf wikimedia.org. (Dokumentation, Task 44085, Ankündigung auf EN).
• (UI) Der Abschnitt „Suchen in“ in der Erweiterten Suchoberfläche ist nun standardmäßig eingeklappt. Er kann ausgeklappt werden, um die zu durchsuchenden Namensräumen zu spezifizieren.
