"cross-wiki promotion"?

Hi Graham87, you have reverted some edits with the comment "cross-wiki promotion". Can you tell me why? I think the Eckart Witzigmann Preis is a relevant avard. Why promotion? It is a prestigious award, not a product. Best regards, --Schotterebene (Diskussion) 09:30, 16. Dez. 2017 (CET)

@Schotterebene: I think it's suspicious when a single-purpose IP editor goes through several wikis (in this case the Germanand English Wikipedias) to add an award that doesn't even have its own Wikipedia article (not even here) to a large number of articles. Anything can be promoted, not just a product. Graham87 (Diskussion) 10:02, 16. Dez. 2017 (CET)
The question is: is the award relevant or not? I think it is relevant. --Schotterebene (Diskussion) 10:32, 16. Dez. 2017 (CET)
And now the article exists: Eckart Witzigmann Preis - Best regards, --Schotterebene (Diskussion) 19:09, 16. Dez. 2017 (CET)
@Schotterebene: Thanks for that; I've undone my edits, adding a link to the new article, wikilinked it in a few other places, and created a redirect at Vorlage:Noredirect. Graham87 (Diskussion) 03:15, 17. Dez. 2017 (CET)
@Graham87: Thanks - good job! Greetings from near Munich to Perth and best regards, --Schotterebene (Diskussion) 07:30, 17. Dez. 2017 (CET)

Edits by User Dnilgisnhurb

Hallo Graham87,

Aug. 2021 (CEST)

Vorlage:Re As it says on my user page, I don't know German but I used Google Translate to get the gist of your message. I discovered this user on the English Wikipedia and only began reverting their edits in German because I noticed that some had already been undone. Bruhn may be a renowned music theorist but her addition of her own papers to many articles still puts undue weight on her work (i.e. they are mentioned more than is warranted). I don't think her behaviour should have anything to do with this. This is not my home wiki though so I'll stop the reversions since you've objected. Graham87 (Diskussion) 09:24, 23. Aug. 2021 (CEST)
@Rodomonte: Trying ping again. I've been thanked using the thank feature for these removals, so I'm obviously not the only one who thinks they are a good idea. Do you happen to know much about classical music? Graham87 (Diskussion) 12:10, 23. Aug. 2021 (CEST)
