I do not know German.

I occasionally check (machine-translated in Google Chrome) articles on de.wiki when I have reason to believe they are better written than the corresponding articles on English Wikipedia (and such articles tend to be based on sources in languages I do read, anyway). While I would like to learn German some day -- German scholars dominated biblical scholarship throughout the nineteenth and much of the twentieth centuries, and arguably still do, and the influence of the work of German philologists on the study of Japanese and Indian texts cannot be underestimated, and all of these fields of these fields are of great interest to me -- I do not currently. So any editing I do will be limited to minor fixes of numbers and the like in the above-mentioned articles I happen to be reading (when the sources are in languages I am certain I am reading apcorrectly and not misinterpreting).

If you want to contact me about anything other than specifically German Wikipedia, it would probably be better to user my English or Japanese talk pages.

Cheers!
