Somalia
Klar Bias.
-- Iwesb (Diskussion) 13:15, 21. Jul. 2015 (CEST)
- ENGLISH: That is clearly not a direct comparison. On the main page about Deutschland you will not find Turkish faces shown like that. Why is there a double standard when it comes to Somalia, which is 85% ethnicically homogenous? That person is not representative of how Somali people look and hence should not be used on the Somalia page. Instead I added a more neutral image of a coastal city established by the Benadiri comunity. This both covers minorities and unifies with the Somalia theme. Therefore I kindly ask you to stop edditing my reasonable additions. Wadaad (Diskussion) 19:07, 21. Jul. 2015 (CEST)

- In fact I do not have any special or profound knowledge about Somalia or Somalian people. But in this matter I see this as an advantage because I have no reason nor possiblity to develop any personal points of view like you do as is easily seen on edit comments like this one.
- You write That person is not representative of how Somali people look. Well it definitely is not possible to show how Somali people look, same as it is impossible to show how german people look. There are varieties, ethnic, cultural differences everywhere. If you think some group is undermentioned (but again: please be aware of your personal opinion), then you can try to make an addition to the article. But then we are facing the problem that this article already has a lot of pictures I'd really appreciate if you could improve the german Wikipedia with your knowledge about Africa, but you have to follow the basic rule neutral point of view and give reliable sources. -- Iwesb (Diskussion) 04:22, 22. - @Iwesb, Somalia has other minorities besides the Bantu. They include Midgans (who are actually the most widespread minority caste), Benadiris and others. Why has special emphasis been given to the Bantu. Who not only look extremely different from all other Somalis, but aren't widespread in the country and only found in certain small locations. Unlike the Midgan who are found everywhere in Somalia. This to me is a clear bias that I want to neutralize. I just want to make the page on Somalia as neutral as possible.Wadaad (Diskussion) 11:58, 22. Jul. 2015 (CEST)
- As I said before: if you really feel a need for neutralization due to missing emphasis on other groups, then add these others, but do not try to remove/replace the existing. -- Iwesb (Diskussion) 12:12, 22. Jul. 2015 (CEST)
- The page already has more than enough images. Adding even more would be redicilous. The most reasonable solution would be to remove that image that is giving too much emphasis on the Bantu over other minorities in Somalia. Also, look at the page about Somalia in other languages. Not a single one uses Bantu imagery like the German page does. I am closer to the global consensus.Wadaad (Diskussion) 12:15, 22. Jul. 2015 (CEST)
- Well the problem of (too??) many pictures I mentioned above already; there I agree with you, adding more could become difficult. IMHO for the german Wikipedia there is no such thing like a global concensus. Sorry to say, but germans tend to follow their german rules. And for that you have to find a consensus here, in the german wikipedia. A means is to present the "problem" on the page for third opinions WP:3M. You should - after the block is expired - open a thread on the Somalia talk page and present your arguments. Then place a link on WP:3M and you will soon get some idea what other Wikipedians think about it. That's a much better version than editwarring. -- Iwesb (Diskussion) 12:34, 22. Jul. 2015 (CEST)
