my German is not that good,but there seems to be absolutely nothing here on Pred's last thirty years of work, namely postmodern writing in human geography, studies of race and identity, Swedish history and geography, etc. he died a couple of weeks ago, and his quantitative work barely rates a mention in obituaries.

• Ja, dieser Artikel scheint sich zum großen Teil aus der Rezeption von Pred in den angeführten deutschen Wirtschaftsgeographie-Lehrbüchern zu speisen. You're both right. This text is taken from a little paper about economic location theory that I wrote years ago. Since this is what is linked to Pred's name in German geography textbooks, the article in all its shortness and with its wrong focus IMHO has its, albeit small, merit. My offer: do write something substantial about Pred's later work in English for en:Allan Pred, and I'll happily translate it into German. --AndreasPraefcke ¿! 16:44, 3. Feb. 2008 (CET)
