Robert Widlar 1971 1970 oder 1969
English: The first description by Widlar was printed in February 1971 (Widlar, R. J. New developments in IC voltage regulators // IEEE Journal of Solid-State Circuits 1971 v.6 n.1 pp.2-7 doi 10.1109/JSSC.1971.1050151). But he presented the same description at a conference exactly one year earlier, Feb 1970, and then sent the draft paper to the journal in May 1970. The first bandgap, that of LM109, was manufactured in numbers by the end of 1970. Some sources say it's 1969 (assuming it had to be concocted some time before Feb 1970), but hard evidence says 1970.
