abschnitt zu dugard´s 2007 report und links zu dugard`s uno-reporten fehlen

beim vergleichen der englischen mit der deutschen version des beitrags ist mir eine wichtige lücke aufgefallen.

In a report released in February 2007, Dugard ”announced that Israel's policies resemble those of apartheid." [2] "It is difficult to resist the conclusion that many of Israel's laws and practices violate the 1966 Convention on the Elimination of all forms of Racial Discrimination," says the report.[2]

Referring to Israel's actions in the occupied West Bank, he wrote, "Can it seriously be denied that the purpose [...] is to establish and maintain domination by one racial group (Jews) over another racial group (Palestinians) and systematically oppressing them? Israel denies that this is its intention or purpose. But such an intention or purpose may be inferred from the actions described in this report."[3][4]

Dugard was appointed in 2001 as an unpaid expert by the now-defunct UN Human Rights Commission to investigate only violations by the Israeli side, prompting Israel and the U.S. to dismiss his reports as one-sided. Israel refused to allow him to conduct a UN-mandated fact-finding mission on its Gaza offensive in 2006. [2]

Hmm? Bitte mal den deutschen Artikel vollständig lesen. Da fehlt nichts wesentliches, der einzige Unterschied ist, dass das ganze im en-Artikel mit einer zusätzlichen Zwischenüberschrift abgesetzt ist und umfangreichere Zitate enthält. Beides halte ich für unnötig, da es diesen - zeitlich gesehen eher kurzen - Aspekt seines Wirkens wiederum nur aufgrund von Medienaufmerksamkeit überbetonen würde. -- Uwe 12:32, 18. Jun. 2009 (CEST)

Promotionsjahr

Laut Text wurde Dugard 1980 in Cambridge promoviert, war aber schon ab 1969 Professor an der Witwatersrand-Universität. Da scheint mir eine frühere Promotion zu fehlen. Der en-Artikel hilft da übrigens nicht weiter. --Vanellus (Diskussion) 17:46, 26. Okt. 2012 (CEST)

Hmm, auch hier steht nichts von einer früheren Promotion. Das würde bedeuten, dass Dugard an der Witwatersrand-Universität ohne Doktortitel nicht nur Professor, sondern sogar Dekan war. --Vanellus (Diskussion) 18:20, 26. Okt. 2012 (CEST)
