Der Westliche Kleine Panda

Hey guys, I noticed that in the first sentence of the article, it says "der Westliche Kleiner Panda". But in the other sentences in the article, it says "der Westliche Kleine Panda". I asked my German teacher about it and she said it should be "der Westliche Kleine Panda". I also did some research and found out that it should be how my teacher said it should be. So I changed it but I'm not really sure. Could you have a look at it and respond? My native language is neither English nor German.
