Die Liste der Gerechten unter den Völkern aus Tschechien führt in alphabetischer Reihenfolge diejenigen Tschechen und Tschechinnen auf, die von der Gedenkstätte Yad Vashem mit dem Titel Gerechter unter den Völkern geehrt wurden.

Hintergrund

Dieser Titel wird an nichtjüdische Einzelpersonen verliehen, die unter nationalsozialistischer Herrschaft während des Zweiten Weltkriegs ihr Leben einsetzten, um Juden und Jüdinnen vor der Ermordung zu retten.

119 Tschechen und Tschechinnen haben bisher den Titel Gerechter unter den Völkern verliehen bekommen.[1]

Liste

Die Liste richtet sich grundsätzlich nach den Angaben der Liste der Gerechten unter den Völkern aus Tschechien von Yad Vashem, wobei jedoch die Schreibweise der für die tschechische Sprache charakteristischen Buchstaben (wie etwa das „š“, das in der Liste von Yad Vashem als „s“ auftaucht) angepasst wurde. In einigen Fällen ist die nationale Zugehörigkeit der jeweiligen Gerechten nicht eindeutig. Dies betrifft besonders häufig Menschen, die Yad Vashem in der Liste der Gerechten aus der Slowakei führt, andere Quellen aber als „Tschechen“ bezeichnen.[2] Beide Nationalitäten waren zum Zeitpunkt der Rettungstaten noch nicht getrennt, sondern Staatsangehörige der – deutsch besetzten – Tschechoslowakei, die sich 1992 in die Staaten Tschechien und Slowakei auflöste.

Die Liste ist alphabetisch nach Nachnamen geordnet. Hinter dem Namen ist jeweils das Geburtsdatum, das Sterbedatum, der Ort der Rettung, der Grund der Ehrung und das Jahr der Ehrung angegeben.
