Smoking Gun Interactive wurde 2007 von einigen Entwicklern des Spieles Company of Heroes in Vancouver gegründet.[1] Das Studio entwickelt vor allem Spiele für die Xbox- und Windowsplattform. Bekannt wurden sie für die Entwicklung von Age of Empires: Castle Siege sowie Spiele für Xbox Kinect.
