Universitätsklinikum Gießen und Marburg

Ich habe gerade festgestellt, dass das erste privatisierte Universitätsklinikum keine Seite hat. Deswegen hier eine Sammlung zu bestehenden Uniklinika-Seiten: Universitätsklinikum Aachen, Universitätsklinik Frankfurt, Klinikum Großhadern, Universitätsklinikum Münster

Danke für den Hinweis! Ist mir schon aufgefallen. Der Artikel ist notwendig, ich weiß. Ich verfolge die Debatte in den Zeitungen schon länger und intensiv, aber Fachmann bin ich deswegen auch nicht... mal sehen, was ich beitragen kann. Hast Du Gliederungsvorschläge außer Gießen und Marburg (was ja eher das trennende hervorheben würde)? --Emha 15:26, 13. Jan 2006 (CET)

Hallo! Schau hier bitte mal nach, ob Dir diese Tabelle im Grunde gefällt. Ist eben ein erster Entwurf und ich bin auch nicht wirklich der Format-Spezialist, was Tabellen anbelangt. Die Tabelle finde ich gut, auch vom Layout (Respekt!), ich würde aber gerne das mit den Klammern für Gießen und Marburg weglassen, sondern eine Zeile für die gemeinsamen Daten und Drunter eine Zeile mit zwei Zellen für die Einzeldaten machen. Ich werde das als Vorschlag einbauen, wenn ich dazu komme. Mit den berühmten Ärzten habe ich immer noch Bauchweh. Auf [14] gibt es zur Gießener, auf [15] zur Marburger Geschichte viel online zum Verwerten. Aber ganz ehrlich: da ist mir Mittelhessen und die Justus-Liebig-Universität in dieser Reihenfolge wichtiger :-) --Emha 12:54, 21. Jan 2006 (CET)
Kein Problem. Dann belassen wir es bei diesem Stand vorerst und kümmern uns um Mittelhessen. Weiß nur nicht, wie intensiv ich in nächster Zeit mitarbeiten kann, da ich im Prüfungsstress bin.    N2  - Abstract The Andaman-Sumatra Tsunami of Dec. 26, 2004, was by far the largest tsunami catastrophe in human history. An earthquake of 9 to 9.3 on the Richter scale, the extension of waves over more than 5000 km of ocean and run-ups up to 35 m are its key features. These characteristics suggest significant changes in coastal morphology and high sediment transport rates. A field survey along the west coast of Thailand (Phuket Island, Khao Lak region including some Similan Islands, Nang Pha mangrove areas and Phi Phi Don Islands) seven to nine weeks after the tsunami, however, discovered only small changes in coastal morphology and a limited amount of dislocated sediments, restricted to the lower meters of the tsunami waves. This is in striking contrast to many paleo-tsunami's events of the Atlantic region. Explanations for this discrepancy are sought in:

a. Mechanics of the earthquake. A rather slow shock impulse on the water masses over the very long earthquake zone, b. Shallow water in the earthquake zone, and c. Bathymetry of the foreshore zone at the impacted sites. Shallow water west of Thailand has diminished wave energy significantly. The differences in geomorphological and sedimentological signatures of this tsunami compared with many paleo-tsunami worldwide makes it unsuitable to be used as a model for old and future tsunami imprints by an event of this extreme energy and extension. Divers’ perceptions of these possible impacts were studied in Phuket, Thailand. The most endorsed impact of diving was a positive one: the educational impact on the divers. Impact perceptions changed after the dive. Perceptions of anchor damage and garbage disposal as negative impacts fell markedly. Following the trip liveaboard divers were more likely than day divers to see the impact of diving as positive. Almost 30% of divers witnessed perceived negative impacts on the reef by their dive group. Divers who saw damage were more likely to feel that diving has a negative impact on the reef than divers who did not see impacts. They were also more likely to take part in a reef conservation project. The results reinforce the potential for diving to be a positive force for reef conservation but indicate the need for greater investment in diver education. N2 - Genetic diversity of abalone in Thailand, Haliotis asinina, H. ovina, and H. varia, was analyzed by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) of 18S and 16S rDNAs, with randomly amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) and restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP). Species-specific RAPD markers were found in each abalone species. Restriction analysis of 18S (nuclear) ribosomal DNA with Alu I, Taq I, and Hae III and 16S (mitochondrial) rDNA with Bam HI, Eco RI, Hae III, and Alu I gave 12 and 13 digestion patterns, respectively. A total of 49 composite haplotypes were found. A dendogram obtained by the unweighted pair-group method with arithmetic mean, constructed from divergence between pairs of composite haplotypes, revealed reproductively isolated gene pools of these abalone and indicated that H. asinina and H. ovina are genetically closer than H. varia. When H. varia was discovered owing to small sample sizes, geographic heterogeneity analysis and F ST estimate indicated clear genetic differentiation between H. ovina originating from the Andaman Sea (west) and the Gulf of Thailand (east, P H. asinina samples ( P H. asinina and H. varia but not in H. ovina. Samples were collected from Ko Similan, Ko Surin and Thai-Myanmar boundary waters by gill net. Results showed that the relationship between carapace length (CL) and body weight (BW) for males (CL, 5.84-14.10 cm) was BW = 0.2598 CL3.0931, and for females (CL, 5.35-10.97 cm) was BW = 0.4280 CL2.8656. Growth in each gender showed allometric growth. The average CL of males was significantly larger than that of females. Average male and female crab sizes in 1999 were smaller than in 1998. The spawning season was found to be from November to February; maturing male crabs were abundant from September to December. Average sizes of CL at first maturity for males and females were 7.44 and 7.22 cm, respectively. Fecundity ranges of ovigerous female crabs were 74 600-167 900 eggs with an average egg diameter of 0.62 mm. The monthly sex ratios (male : female) varied between 1:0.56 and 1:2.77.

Interviews were carried out to determine tsunami effects on dive tour companies, and post-dive questionnaires were distributed to ascertain recreational diver perceptions of tsunami effects on dive sites. Of the 65 companies in December, 2004, 42 were fully operational in April 2005. During the post-tsunami high season, 35 companies lost an average of 63.6 ± 40.5% days of diving, compared to an average season, amounting to a total of 4631 diving days. During this time, the diving industry was instrumental in post-tsunami rescue, relief, and restoration efforts. Despite high expectations for damage, tsunami effects on dive sites were not noticed by most recreational divers. Using a geographical perspective, this study highlights how tsunami effects on the diving industry have several implications for marine conservation in Thailand.
