Monroe Wheeler (* 13. Februar 1899, Evanston, Illinois. died 14. August 1988, Manhattan, NYC), Kurator am Museum of Museum of Modern Art, New York City.
Er war der Partner von Glenway Wescott, lernte 1926 George Platt Lynes (NYC, Dez. 1955) kennen. Paul Cadmus.
Er druckte, zuerst als Hobby, Bücher von Freunden und Bekannten in chapbooks mit Kleinstauflage (auch in Deutschland, 1920-21), in Villefrance (Cocteau, Duncan) ab 1925, später in Paris, war er von 1930 bis durch die finanzielle Unterstürtzung von Barbara Harrison der Verleger des Kleinstverlages Harrison of Paris, der dreizehn Bücher herstellte, darunter Erstausgaben von Katherine Anne Porter und eine Übersetzung von Thomas Mann.
